    Surely, as performers, we HAVE to be able to deal with hecklers?

    If I remember rightly, I was watching a documentary about comedians and they were discussing heckling. Billy Connelly said he hates hecklers and thinks they should be kicked out as soon as they start heckling. I feel that people who pay money to go and see him perform shouldn't pay the money if they are going to go there and heckle. I think in the same documentary Jim Davidson said he just ignore hecklers too.

    In my experience there are two types of hecklers;
    1) Those who are drunk/drugged up and are just disruptive. They should be evicted
    2) Those who enhance a performance by contributing intelligent heckles. They deserve to be involved in the performance.
    Some acts, those who work to a strict script, can't deal with hecklers. Others, who ad lib a lot, welcome them.
    I guess it is horses for courses

    But they have often PAID to get into the venue where there is entertainment. So WTF is that about?

    I was talking about a venue where you don't pay.

    Fair enough but I still think it is very disrepsectful of an audience member to disrupt a performance to the detriment of other audience memebrs
    If you don't want to enjoy a performer then, please, leave the room!
