I am in need of some help is there anyone on here that knows how to remove vocals from a track without altering the music..... i have a track that i need altered but just wanted the vocals taken away I have tried but the music becomes distorted... if any1 can do it wood very much appreciate it just drop me a line thanx

Hi Jase,
From my experience it's not really possible to remove vocals from a track without the music distorting
Even with Adobe Audition, the software will remove more than the vocal track. Maybe I can help you find the bocking; what song/arrangement is it?

Urb used to flip the balance of the speakers to one side so he could hear the saxophone track clearer, as they used to pan sax to one side. So it might be worth shifting the balance to check if the vocals are louder one side or the other???

But probably it's best to get a specially put together backing track.

I've noticed there are downloads and CDs available for removing vocals from
various sites if you Google.
I'd wondered if they were not ideal as the members here seem to use
specialist backing-track companies.
Is this the case? - with all the technology now you'd think someone would
combine a remove facility with iTunes and the backing-track companies would
be out of business overnight?.
