Also if anyone else is thinking about getting Vista and keeping some of your equipment i.e. Printer, make sure it is vista compatible i have had to download new drivers.....

My anti virus is not compatible so i have to pay for another one

I swear the next machine that dies on me is being replaced with an Apple Mac.

I'm using a Compaq pc with says it's "Windows Vista Capable" but the speed I'm enjoying from the 2 Gigabytes of RAM and twin processors using XP at the moment, I reckon will disappear when XP users are "forced" to install RAM hungry Vista.

I've sat and thought about it.

I only use the following file fomats..... .psd .html .php .jpeg .gif .swf
I do not use any Microsoft software apart from XP.

So as long as I can run Adobe stuff (which was originally written for Mac) and I have a simple text editor. I can do exactly what I do now without a PC.

The only problem I can see is the availability of fonts.

How much is a Mac?

You need AT LEAST a 20 inch screen to do it any justice - although if you go into the shops you will fall in love with the 24'' screen - but they are 1,300!!!

The 20'' is £999 - but you get what you pay for!!

AND if you use flip4mac you can also switch over to windows in a second!!! But you won't want to when you use a MAC

Well when i bought this i got it for £300 and that was just the tower, the mac would have been £677 and that was the cheapest one I saw.

I seriously thought about it, but just couldn't justify paying that kind of money for what i actually want to use a computer for.

Ok thanks

Now I'm deducting the cost of Anti-Virus / Firewall software and subscriptions as Apple Macs don't get viruses.
